What a mutation changes

AllThingsHow’s September 30 guide describes single-use potions for an owned ant, immediately updating its mutation and EFF. Mutation and rarity are separate. Compare the reported potion multipliers in the ant reference.

Where to buy mutation potions

AllThingsHow locates the Items shop at the map’s center. Check the current shop before buying.

Reported September 30, 2026 prices; source reviewed October 8.
PotionReported price
Leaf Potion$1M
Bubblegum Potion$5M
Candy Potion$50B
Rainbow Potion$100B
Petal Potion$500T
Starlight Potion$5.1Qi

These are the source’s display abbreviations. Compare them directly with your balance and the shop rather than relying on a guessed conversion.

Apply a potion and check the result

The item guide says to apply the purchased potion to your chosen ant. These are our suggested checks:

  1. Record the ant first.Note its name, rarity, level, existing mutation and displayed EFF. A screenshot helps distinguish a potion change from a later level change.
  2. Check the purchase.Confirm the potion name and current price, then buy only if the cost fits your balance.
  3. Confirm the target.Follow the current item-use prompts and check which owned ant is selected before confirming.
  4. Compare the same ant.Look for the mutation label and EFF after applying it. Check whether its level changed before attributing the whole difference to the potion.

EFF alone does not establish cash earned per second. To compare your own result, keep the observation period and other colony upgrades consistent, and record the cash you actually receive.

PC example: equip, target and use a potion

Foltyn’s October 7 gameplay at 13:14 shows the player holding a Starlight Potion, aiming at a placed Pumpkin Ant and receiving the E Use Potion prompt. On PC, equip the potion, check the outlined target and use the displayed prompt. Other platforms may show different controls.

The 13:17 result keeps the same ant’s rarity and level while changing its mutation label and displayed EFF. This is one recorded application, not an income formula or evidence about stacking potions.

How to remove a mutation

AllThingsHow reports a $100k Removal Potion that clears the current mutation; it describes potion effects as lasting until removal.

Before confirming, check the selected ant and the current item description. This does not establish whether a new potion replaces or stacks with an existing one, or whether removal is required before applying another potion.
